Is there any rule when converting an AC3 to MP2 in HeadAC3he, on which Channel Mode should be used for the closest Surround sound. I have the downmix type set to Surround 2. Should I set the Channel Mode to Dual Channel, Joint Stereo, or Stereo.
For people with Pentium 4 processors, this is fast encoding audio software!
PS- I did a forum search on this but my question was never really answered, so sorry if this has been discussed before.

I've heard it said that Joint Stereo is the selection of choice for VCD/SVCD/CVD. I can never tell the difference though, as they all sound like crap compared to 5.1 surround.
Impossible to see the future is. The Dark Side clouds everything...
