  1. Hi,

I have a AVI (used vdub to extract the audio)that i converted to MPEG2 with TMPGEnc 2.510. I then ended up with a M2v +wav files. I used besweet to convert the wav to ac3. I loaded both the files into DVDMaestro and watch the vobs on power DVD.

The picture is jerky at times however the sound if perfect. The m2v is perfect as i tested that in media player. The sound and video are the same length (well 0.03 of a second out - as good as)

The conversion from AVI to M2v is perfect its just when i use DVDMaestro to create the VOBs that letting me down.

Please can somebody help? Have i done the right thing with the audio (source is wav from TMPGEnc)?

I have tried 3 different AVIs and all do the same?!?!?!

    All suggestions welcome.

    Thanks
    Dan

I suggest that you do to the other two videos what you did to the first. And since you gave so little information, this is all that I can recommend.

I have the same problem with Ulead dvd factory & I've been pulling my hair out/kicking the cat/abusing the wife/taking too much booze trying to sort it!!! (only kidding) - but I think I've cracked it.

Try encoding the mpeg with TMPGEnc but keeping the frame rate at 23.976 - you have to load the template called (i cannot remember it's name - but something called unlock or close to that) to do this. Then let your dvd authoring package do the conversion from 23.976 to 29.97.

This works with Ulead dvd Factory2, albeit taking a while longer to process.

Good luck - let me know how you get on - I've been following your posts.

    Hi,,

Not sure if Im missing anything but I used to get this when I downloaded an NTSC avi and played it back on a PAL dvd player.

I since learnt to change the framrate to 25 fps and that solved it all
    Good luck

  8. Hi,

I have tried to change the field order - no difference: the m2v is perfect its when i run it through DVD Maestro it becomes jerky.

I have also tried to convert to 25FPS that made things alot worse the sound was out of sync and the movie ran too fast.

    Please any ideas anyone?

    Cheers
