Hi,

I have heard great things about VirtualDub, but have been unable to try it out because of this error:

---

VirtualDub Error

Couldn't locate decompressor for format 'dvsd' (unknown)

VirtualDub requires a Video for Windows (VFW) compatible codec to decompress video. DirectShow codecs, such as those used by Windows Media Player, are not suitable.

---

I am unsure how to install a new codec but I would love to get VirtualDub to work if possible. (I do have Nimo codec package installed.)

I am capturing AVI-2 files with DVIO. I'd like to cut out extraneous video with VirtualDub and convert to MPEG-1 with TMPGEnc for final output to VCD.

Is there any advice you could give to point me in the right direction?
Thanks,
