    Hi Folks,
    I am planning on buying the ADVC100. But I understand that I also need a firewire card. Please suggest which one I should go in for. I need it to work with Virtual Dub and provide a capture frame size of 288X712

    Firewire cards don't vary much these days. They only transfer data between external devices and your PC, so just buy the cheapest one you can find and it should be fine.
