  1. I created a svcd bin/cue file with vcdeasy and want to burn it in nero (for some reason when I create a svcd in vcdeasy it very pixelated, the screen will go grey, it burns flawless in nero but no chapters). I burned the bin file using the CDROM(ISO) in Nero, tried to play it and it read "no disc". Am I supposed to burn both the bin/cue, one or the other, or should switch formats(ISO/UFD,etc.)?
    Any help would be appreciated.

For bin/cue files, your best bet is to use CDRWin by Goldenhawk Tech... They invented the bin/cue format.

It's available from their website at www.goldenhawk.com and will work forever if you don't mind burning at 1x or 2x... But if you register it, you enable it's fullspeed burning...

Using NERO to burn a bin/cue is like using TMPGEnc to multiplex (when bbMPEG is 10x better imo

Actualy, if they invented it, they sure don't know how to make it work in WinXP.

I used older versions of CDRWin for years, but finally ended up tossing the newest version in the recycling bin (no pun intended).

For burning .bin and .cue files, you have 2 good options right now:

    1. Fireburner

    2. Nero

Both will allow you to load the cuesheet (in Nero you choose 'burn from image' and use the drop-down to select .bin or something).

Between these two, I have not come across a .bin I could not burn.
    My system:
    Abit Ic7G
    P4 3.0C @ 3.98 GHz
    2x512 MB DDR 500 ram
    WinXP Pro
    ATI Radeon X800pro
    5x120 GB Western Digital ata100
    TDK Velocd 48x16x44
    Sony 8x DVD burner

  4. To add to pvnosta's comment on nero, you click on file, then burn image and then load the bin/que image to burn. I would recommend burning at a slow speed (4x or slower, although I have had no problems doing 8x and others have had no problems burning at faster speeds-just a failsafe suggestion)

  5. Stay away from NERO!!! Nero is fine for burning mode1 PC data or audio discs, but that's it.

I would recommend CDRDAO (and one of it's GUIs) freeware. A GUIs include VCDEasy, TSCV, and XDuplicator.

There are links to VCDEasy under tools or at http://www.doom9.org
