  1. OK..I have a protable VCD player and I have a lot of divx, vcd & svcd movies...and I have 100s of questions

    1. since I'm from Europe..do I have to make PAL VCDs?

    2. is it enough that I burn them as PAL with Nero or must I encode them
    as PAL?

    3. can I convert an AVI/DIVX to VCD?

    thanks

  2. Hi there,

    1) That depends upon your hardware and personal preference. If your vcd player supports NTSC, then it's up to you. However, you should take into account that your TV may not be able to support an NTSC signal, and therefore will display the image in black and white.

    2) In my experience, it does not matter which format you author/burn the files as. They will be played in their source format. i.e. if you burn a PAL VCD as an NTSC VCD, it will still be played as a PAL VCD...understand?

    3) Yes you can, try reading the NEWBIE and/or CONVERT sections to the left

    hope this helps!
