  1. Hi everyone!

Need help to backup my A_I_ARTIFICIAL_INTELLIGENCE.

I never copy a DVD9 to 2DVD-R's before... need help.

    Heres is the problem:
After I'm finished doing what I have to do (that I do wrong... ) and tested it in PowerDVD, everything works great. Menus and extras... But when I test the first disc in my Standalone DVD player, it plays the intro (Warner Home Video) and starts searching, searching and searching....

    This is what I do:

    - Rip the whole DVD in SmartRipper
    - Use these settings in ifoedit. "Vob extras" --> Correct vob-unit,Correct original IFO files, Spilt 2 2DVD-R and create Disc 1 and disc 2
    - Split the movie in half and the next screen.
    - Then when it finished, I copy the VTS_01_X.VOB/ifo/BUP and VTS_03_X.VOB/ifo/BUP which is the menu and extras.
    - Both cd's is then about 3-8-4gb
    - Use ifoedit to "GET VTS Sectors" at the first and second disc.
    - Then removing P-UP's for all the ifo's.
    - Burn the movie in Nero with UDF 1.02 (has always worked. Nearly backuped my whole collection of DVD's with these settings.)

The media I'm using is Verbatim 2x at Pioneer A05

    What am I doing wrong?`

    Sorry my bad english...

  2. Seems like the basic process is correct, but you're doing some extra steps; I would use DVD Decryptor over Smartripper. Follow my guides if you want (URL in sig).

  3. I would suggest:

    http://www.doom9.org/ -> THE GUIDES -> DVD/MINI DVD -> DVD backup guides - > "DVD-9 -> 2 DVD±R"
*Man they sure have a lot of menu picks now at Doom*

and see if Step 3 will fix ur problem, works for me all the time:

Step 3: Adjust the start point of the 2nd chapter (optional)

Perhaps you're thinking "wouldn't it be nice if upon inserting the 2nd disc in the player the movie would go on automatically and I wouldn't have to go through all the menus again?". And it's not only nice but possible with a little extra work:
This will by pass the menus and jump u right into the main movie.

Then burn to a +/-RW disk first.
