  1. This is driving me crazy. I get perfect working copies in my stand alone player using DVD-Video. BUT, many here say that it is better to use UDF (I think that's it, I can't check now because I'm copying a DVD on my good computer as I type here). Anyway, I've tried - physical partition, 1.02, etc, force video compatibility mode on and off, and not a single disk works in my player. I make an AUDIO_TS folder (stays empty) and a VIDEO_TS folder into which I drag all the video files like I do when I use DVD-Video..., and I get disk error in my player. What are you guys doing differently? This is eatting me up....

    Thanks,
    Rick

  3. It works in my current player, but I've heard that DVD-Video setting is not as compatible with all players as using the UDF setting. Plus, it is just eatting at me that everyone else uses it and I can't get it to work.... With UDF do you make a disk image first?

    Thanks,
    Rick

  4. The problem was that previous versions of Nero (before 5.5.10.7) had a bad DVD-Video template, so it was better to use UDF or ISO/UDF. While most older players work fine with UDF, some newer players need ISO/UDF (the format that ALL commercial DVDs use).

Best thing is to use latest Nero, with DVD-Video - this seems to work in all players (inc. Xbox). Not sure what it does, but check 'DVD-ROM booktype' when burning, especially for +R discs, for maximum compatibility.

    Hope this helps,

    Mark.

  5. I used DVD-Video in 5.5.9.17.0 and it worked on 3 different DVD players. There was problem with 5.5.10.0 version. I am not sure how is current 5.5.10.7b. Maybe you can try your disks in some store around you and see if it will play. Just be aware that not all players play all formats.
