  1. ok, i've downloaded a film in 2 parts, both bout 823 megs, i wanted to put them onto 3 cd-rs, know the problems arise.ive joined the files to make one 1.6 gig file then was going to split it, but cant find a program to do it? when i try tmpgnec says cannot open, tried finding out what kind of file it was with g-spot, but that wont open it either, strange thing is i can watch it on pc using power dvd? is there an easy way to do this? thanks in advance

    ahhhh

camel mpeg join is not a very good MPEG joiner it does not re-write headers correctly

you should use TMPEGenc joiner to correctly join files

most playback apps will skip over the incorrectly joined chunks and jsut do dumb decodes - it's only when an app actually works through the file that you get the probs you found

if you have the original downloads - join them again with TMPEGenc
