  1. Do any of the major Authroing programs allow me to set a regional code?
Currently I have DVDit! PE, My DVD, and Scenetist (I just got it, still lost at how to work it)

I know you can't put csss on a DVD-R, but wasnt sure about region codes.

    Thank for any help!!

Ive authored many disc professionally, and you cant write a regioncode onto a general dvd-r on a general dvd-r burner...you need a pro burner and discs for that.

I think it is possible to use DVD Decrypter to Patch the IFO to any region.

You could patch an IFO to say Region 2 if you wanted.

    Never tried it.

why would you want your dvd to be prevented from playing in certain dvd players?

I personally don't care if my DVDs have a region code or not, but someone was gonna pay me to author a title for them, and requested it be set only to region 1. I wasn't sure if it could be set or not, so I posted here.

    Thanks,
