    Without extra 3rdparty paid plugin, only way is to use Adobe Premiere (sister software), export movie in "Filmstrip" format.
    Pshop will read from, and write back to this format.

  3. You need Premiere or an NLE that can render out a short segment of video as a filmstrip (render format). Then you can import the filmstrip into Photoshop for working on the frames of video. After your done in Photoshop you save the file as a filmstrip again. In Premiere you import the filmstrip and put in your timeline where you can view the video.
    The filmstrip format is a large bitmap like image of humdreds of frames that you zoom in on and work on.

    NLE = Non-Linear Editor

    but this is really what programs like Main Vision , After effects, Shake , fusion , etc. are for -- compositing programs for working with frames ..

    though almost any NLE can do the filtering, re-sizing, cropping, adjustment part of it (including V-dub) also .

  6. Hi,

    Thanks again.

    OK, next problem! I am sure that all of us who have played with computers know that they will refuse a programme for no apparent reason, and just as suddenly play the game. Well, my computer is now accepting Adobe Premiere (it wouldn't, not even letting the programme install!).

    The file I have captured with AP6 is 5.9Gb (142 frames) long. When I output the Filmstrip it gets to 50 frames of 142, and the new file is already 20.5Gb in size! Is there a way of outputting the Filmstrip without the huge file size?
