  1. Hello, its my first time making an SVCD. VCDs on my DVD do work however when i encoded an MPEG-1 file with TMPGENC to an MPEG2 file then i burned to a CD-r with Nero 5.10 with the SVCD feature and then i played it and nothing was on the screen although the timer was running and there was two tracks???

    Also in Tmpgenc should the file be interlace or not? i dont get that feature and should the size be 480.480 or 480.576

    thx

  2. I had issues using Nero to make SVCDs where they would not work yet the test SVCD you can download from this site did. I switched to VCDEasy and SCVDs now work.

    Try VCDEasy.

    480x480 = NTSC (USA)
    480x576 = PAL (Europe)
    Depends on where in the world you live.

    it looks like you need to do the VCD header trick to be able to use the SVCD specification. Just use the search function in the forums and you will find many postings on how to do it.

    SVCDs are supposed to be interlaced.
