  1. HELP ME!!!!

After hours of time wasted I am near to throwing PC, DVD Writer and any ting related to DVD into a fire!!!

Ok this is what I did.............

I followed this GUIDE mostly, but for the encoding of my m2v file I used the guide from doom9 article 'Getting the most out of CCE'.

Uisng doom9 I got my m2v file from 6Gbs down to 3Gbs, I muxed it as thier guide states using IFOEdit.

Anyways everything seemed fine, the movie I was encoding was Saving Private Ryan, Region 1 DTS.

So i put the damn thing in my PS2 and it plays probably 5 seconds of video only to crash!

Plays perfect on PC, Im taking it round a mates to see if it works on thiers.

Could it be my PS2 is defunct??? Its not that old, but what could cause such problems!

The same thing happend when I did Blade2 but that worked perfectly on my mates Ps2 which is older then mine!
Verb media and never a problem....

  3. i also had the same problem with BLADE 2, it played verry jerky and when it changed chapters it would say UNABLE TO READ DISC,
Then i tied it in another standalone player a TEAC one and it gave my menu's but then it would start to play, but only the sound, the video was still on the menu screen whil ethe sound went on to play?
I have been using the same discs also for all of my dvd's so i'm not sure what the deal is there

Your problem is definatly the laser in the PS2 it is quite picky about the media it uses. Some cheap media may work but eventually your laser will crap out because with cheaper media it has to try harder to focus on the data.
