I've had this show up a few times with the external burner connected by USB2. Usually it happens before the drive buffer status shows up. The DVD has started to burn so the disc is essentially useless...can't recover it at all.
I'm using Win XP on a 1.4 GHz AMD. It's Nero 5.5.9.17. It doesn't happen every time...just enough to make me jumpy.
Anyone else come across this by any chance?
