no sound compression unknown(tag2000)

I download a avi both halfs have no sound but the video is fine. Used Vdub and got the info on the file and it says it is compression unknown (tag 2000) what does this mean and how if at all do I get the sound to work? thank you Marty

It means the audio track is using AC3, you can just go ahead and convert it with TMPGEnc if there are no junk frames, or you can save out the audio using streaming then convert it later.
