dv to dvd-simple question.

I have arcsoft showbiz software and mydvd. My first dvd that i burned was not the same quality as the dv. For instance, the video quality is much better when i play straight from the dig vid camera to the tv than the dvd that i made. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Also have pinnacle software-how do i save movie so i can burn with this software? Also, when i download DLA it crashes my computer when i plug in my dv camera.

Capture the dv with for example scenalyzer live, convert to dvd with tmpgenc(very good quality) and author with ulead moviefactory, workshop or spruceup(they do not convert the audio to pcm and supports dvd compliants mpegs). It will also work to capture,convert and author to dvd with ulead moviefactory,workshop but you will not get the same quality as using tmpgenc...but it will be much more easier.
