    using tmpgenc i successfully copied divx to vcd via vcd easy. no error messages at any point but final output - the vcd - had no sound. Checked back and neither did tmpgenc file and I think it is down to the divx audio fromat mpeg layer 3. If it is How can I get round this.

    use virtualdub to separate the audio from the video.
