    Hi,

I have a mpg movie with the following codec name : MPEG-1 audio Layer 2

When I try to open this movie for editing, it opens an audio file only (and there is no sound in that video).

I would like to convert it or anything else that would let me edit the video.

    Thanks for your help

  2. Try using GSpot to verify the container and codecs.

Can you play the file with any media player? Does it have both audio and video when you do?

Yes, I can play the file with Windows Media Player. I can see the video. and can't hear audio but it is because there is no audio.

Please specify the program you use to edit the mpg file. VirtualDub mod or mpeg should be able to show the video or at least report what's wrong with it.
