    I bought a Sony DRU500a and installed it as master on my secondary IDE channel. I'm very happy with it and didn't have a single problem or coaster.
    Only con is DVD ripping blocked at 2x.
    Now I want to put it in a firewire external enclosure that I have to buy.
    Anyone did this ??
    I want to know if Nero 5.5.9.17 I am using to burn recognizes the writer or not, and any other possible problem.
    Do I need to buy a special external box with a specific IEE1394 bridge ??
