I've been using Gordian Knot to successfully create a number of vcd's over the last few months, but recently ran into a problem. I usually set up Gordian Knot to create vcd's overnight and to shut down my computer when it is done. Last night, I pulled the vob's from a dvd and set up Gordian Knot to create the vcd and to shut down when it was done. This morning when I checked on my computer I noticed that the system had rebooted on its own and that I was unable to access the slave drive on which I store all of my ripped movies. Windows Explorer recognizes the existence of the drive, but treats it as though it is unformatted and asks me if I want to format the drive. I pulled the drive and put in place of another slave drive on a second computer and was able to access the drive directories. However, the directory which should have contained the vob's and other files from the dvd which I was trying to rip was empty.
Has anyone had this experience before? I'm still trying to find a way to get the main computer to recognize this drive and wondering how to resolve this problem. If anyone has a fix that is easier than simply archiving the files and reformatting the drive, I would appreciate it.
Thanks in advance!
