  1. i use dvd2dvdr, when the rip is complete and cce is started, the vaf file is created after that cce starts transcoding to the new m2v file here i get an error (at about 1%) saying: cce encoding failed: error: video checksum is different than that of previous pass. source video data or time code may be different. Please check video tape or the information file. Information : current: checksum=0121d016, previous: checksum=0121d018. the checksum numbers are different with different dvd's . anyone has any ideas how to fix this, i've unloaded all background programs like virusscanners etc.

I had this problem once and after reseting BIOS setup to default all went fine.
Optimizations can lead to these kind of problems...

  3. thx for your fast reply, but no changes have been made in the bios and cce worked fine before. Don't know exactly when this problem started, i've tried uninstalling the software i've installed after installing cce and also tried to uninstall and reinstall cce (reinstalled after i cleaned up the registry).
I will try to reset the bios but if this doesn't help, any other suggestions??

Do you have a AMD - CPU ?
If yes, you should install the CRC-error-patch (especially 4 AMD users)!

I'm using DVD2DVD-R 1.3.4 and haven't had probs with it before.
Now I'm trying to backup BAD COMPANY, which needs to be re-encoded.
CCE is set to encode @ VBR 2 passes.
I'm using an ISO (DVD Decrypter) mounted in Daemon Tools.
I already tried 4 times to do this movie, but everytime I get an error message... CCE stops at exactly 50% in the first pass and is then closed by Windows (error-message -> CCE will be closed by windows... etc.).
Anybody who has or had the same problem?

You can find CCE 2.50.01 incl. the CRC patch on my site.

  8. Thanks BK. I figured you would have it. I had your site bookmarked. I can't read Dutch, but I could weed through it here and there and the pictures have helped me learn to rip.

Nice to be able to help!

Since there is a lot of English tutorials online (and due to a lack of time :P ) I didn't translate my site into English yet...
