I have recently downloaded a couple of xvid avi's which when i play in wmplayer or try to convert using TMPGEnc it comes out green. I have conerted Xvids before and I have the codec according vDub and GSpot.
Can any one help?
I don't whether it has anything to do with upgrading to wmplayer 9 which I did a few weeks ago.

If you have the Nimo Pack UNINSTALL it! For some reason when it installs it screws up the xvid codec. Then grab the xvid codec and install it again... I had the same problem and this fixed it

Thanks for that
I tried this but i still have the problem. But when I uninstalled nimo, the xvid avi's still played in the same way. I installed a xvid codec on its own but th problem is still there -
i had the same problem, and i found the solution. al least for me.
uninstall ALL codecs.
then install the xvid codec,
then install divx4.12 codec
then install nimo but uncheck all codecs, and uncheck directshow
and check ac3 sound.
now you have sound and a good picture.
follow the steps otherwise it won't work
enjoy. -
Thanks
I tried this but still the same problem
I don't understand why vdub is fine with the xvid files but wmplayer and tmpgenc have a problem.
