I have an ATI AIW 8500DV which is working overall well, but:
When capturing using the ATI TV capture, I get good captures on startup,
but when I stop capturing and start again(without closing ATi TV and opening again) the second capture will be choppy, with lots of color blocks/garbled video(audio remains good).
IF I close the ATi tv program, and restart after every capture, I have no problem....but trying to record more than one thing overnight results in one good capture, and the rest worthless.
There does not appear to be an auto-shutdown for the ATi tv after each capture....
Has this happened to anyone out there? Any ideas on a solution?
thanx

Start by downloading Switch off from here: http://yasoft.km.ru/eng/. This application can be used to force a restart at designated times (via the scheduled task function of Windows).
I use it after EACH recording to ensure that the machine can go into Standby between recordings. It works flawlessly for this cause.
Good luck!
