I made a DVD-R backup of Star Wars I with CCE and Ifoedit .95. The resulting quality was excellent but there were no subtitles in scenes were characters speak in a "foreign" language. They appear in the Original DVD but not the copy. I assumed that this type of subtitle was embedded in the video stream and could not be removed but obviously I'm incorrect. There are four subtitle streams on the DVD and three of them in English! My question is how can you tell which stream contains just the stream with the scene subtitles in it?

i use subrip.
star wars 1 subs for the alien speaking parts are the bottom ones (either)
they are forced caption.
plus if you come across a film which doesnt show the forced caption ones like the film harts war, open subrip go to options then global options then tick forced subtitles only.
hope this helps.
