    Hi again,
Since I had a particular file open for my last thread, I thought I'd ask about a couple vocal samples that are used in the same clip. I know that I've heard these 3 samples before, many times, but in other works. I'm sure they'll sound familiar to you too. What are such samples called? "Stock", "Public domain", etc.? ... furthermore, where do you find them? ... or is that something only studios can do.
    Thanks again,
    Justin

  2. There are many sources of stock sound effects -- just do a google search. Many are free for private use. Some have a small "unlimited" license fee for private use. Most have expensive licensing fees for commercial use.

But I'm not imagining it, right? I'm sure that at the very least, the 2nd clip where the woman is screaming is recognizable. It's almost like the Wilhelm scream.

  4. The second clip does sound similar to your earlier clip. Although I haven't played them side by side (delete the earlier clip after I listened to it). I wouldn't be surprised if studios have their own stock audio clips.
