ok i have a questions about this dvd-rw

first of all people on these forums keep talking about firmware?
how can i find out what firmware i have for this model?

and second of all when u format a DVD-rw disc
what do u use?

UDF 1.50? 2.00? or 2.01???

To check the firmware... you can check it with Nero... in the menu of choose recorder it will show the firmware of your writer...

If you want to burn dvd-video... use the udf 1.20 in Nero... it's the most compatible with the dvd-player... if the player it's new... the 1.50 must work to you without problem
