Can anyone advise how I can achieve a better quality?

Hi,

I am trying to capture and convert some videos that I have on my DV tapes to VCDs. I used Ulead DVD MovieFactory to do this. But the quality of the movies on the VCDs are very poor. Can anyone advise how I can achieve a better quality? Thanks.

You could try use TMPGenc instead. Copy the dv to your hd and convert with tmpgenc

and then add the tmpgenc mpg vcds in moviefactory and burn. If you are still not happy with the quality you could try SVCD, www.vcdhelp.com/tmpgencsvcd if your dvd player supports it.
