  1. I have searched through all the guides on vcdhelp/doom and have not found one guide that doesn't use software that is still available for download or purchase, Everyone of them seems to use one or more programs no longer available.

Can anyone point me to a guide or replacement software to use for the ones that are no longer available.

  3. well follow the first three steps on this guide and skip the rest. http://www.digital-forums.com/dvd2dvdr/intro.htm once that is done use ifoedit to author the dvd then use nero to burn the files or you can use gear pro if you want. if you want to add the subtitles then follow this guide starting at step three it also shows you how to author a dvd using ifoedit. http://www.doom9.org/index.html?/mpg/ifoedit-dvdauthor.htm

Hi! Guess I would need some more detail. First, you want to fit a DVD 9 on a DVD 5? My advice is........do not bother. Really, Smart Ripper, Ifoedit, and Nero (or other burning software) is all you need. Many movies under 2 hours can be fit on a 4.7 gig DVD by stripping streams you do not need and burning only the movie. Otherwise, just split to 2 dvd's--they are cheap now! Good Luck!
