Got a problem with avi file to svcd.

TMPGenc says when i try to open the video source that it is unsupported.
But i checked with g-spot and everything was installed.

I tried to move up the priority of directshow, but when i right click on it it says that "the file cannot be loaded" is that my problem????

I tried to follow the guide on this site but now i don't know anymore.

    Anyone does??

On your keyboard press the Print Screen button.
Then go to Notepad,Wordpad,Microsoft Word or whatever...right click on the open sheet and paste.
Now save it and if you have a program like Irfanview you can crop it and resave the smaller section.
If thats too much work,,,,then just go into Virtualdub File Information and manually copy the info.

  8. Ok..it seems that your FPS is only 12.5fps...
so I don't think TMPGE can't recognize that.
I does rhowever recognize 12 fps (internally 24).
So,you may want to try using Virtualdub to change the framerate.
File > Open Movie > Video > Full Processing Mode > Video > Frame Rate > Change to > type in 12 (and also check "Change So Video Audio match"...etc)> Video > Compression > Divx-mpeg4 - Low Motion > Audio > Direct Stream Copy > File > Save As AVI.

I'm also a bit suspicious about the audio sampling (24,000)because I think TMPGE only recoginizes 3 different audio rates (32,000,44100,48000).
You may have to try and use Virtualdub to convert the audio by:
Audio > Full Processing > Conversion > check 44100 if you are making a VCD)....Maybe you can try this instead of previous suggestion of Audio > Direct Stream Copy.
I can't guarantee that this will work ,but give it a try.

    next problem,

got 2 part now and i wanted to paste them,

Virtual Dub comes up with this message:

The video streams have different data formats

  11. The 2 parts have to be identical in compression, bitrate, etc, etc before you can append them in Virtualdub.

  13. In Virtualdub did you:

Open Movie File #1 > Video > Direct Stream Copy > Audio > Direct Stream Copy > File > Append AVI Segment > Movie File #2 > File > Save As AVI.

I'm assuming you want to join them (when you say paste?).
If the files have identical specs (other than length etc) the it should work.
