  1. Hi,

In general, 0ne svcd file is around 2G, and 1 DVDR can hold 4.3G,
so is there any way to put 2 SVCD into 1 DVDR disk?

    Thanks.

  3. Well it would depend on what the bitrate of the audio and video is. If you are using 384kbps audio a streaming bitrate of at least 2000kbps video, then yes you can. If you are using the same audio quality but a higher bitrate like 3500kbps then you might be pushing it depending on how large the video files are.

  4. I have used KDVD Templates to put up to 3 SVCD quality on one DVD-R, this depends on the length of each movies. Most of the time I do put two on DVD-R. Check www.kvcd.net for more information on how to do this.

  5. Ultimately it will depend on your DVD player and whether or not it will play SVCD from a DVD-R; some players will only recognize a DVD-R as a DVD-video only.

I have found that 1.3 Mbit - 1.5 Mbit will allow me to put 3 movies on a DVD-R, in a quality level that is perfectly acceptable to me, virtually making the hassle of putting a movie on 2 cd's and getting up in the middle of a movie to change cd's not at all worth it. I just received my 50 pack of DVD-R's so the only thing I'll be burning to CD now is 30-60 minute TV caps.

    Hi, Bud

I can encode now, but I really don't know how to put them into
1 DVDR and can be played back on a standalone dvd player.

Could you please explain some detail?

    Thx and Merry Xmas

  8. I am using an Apex 1200; I happen to be one of the lucky ones that got a model that plays absolutely everything.

I am burning the files in ISO format I.E. just copying the files to the disc.

  9. O.K.
Regarding the quality, here is my question..

My original file is a divx file, source from a DVD.
The divx file looks very good.

    I can:
A.) Re-Encode to DVD format and burn to DVD

    or.

B.) Burn the Entire 1.2G SVCD to DVD? If my DVD player will play a SVCD encoded DVD, what advantage is there in coverting to DVD format and burning the DVD instead of burning the SVCD files to DVD? Did I make ANY sense??
