Question how to put several dvds on one DVDr

I have two DVD video folders on my hard drive. The combined size is about 3 GB. I want to burn both of them to a DVDr. No menu is necessary. When one DVD is finished, the other should begin. I tried using TMPGEnc DVD Author and inputed each DVD folder, but it seems to recode during the authoring process because I can see frame by frame on the progress viewer. I don't want to recode. This shouldn't take any longer than just burning 3 GB worth of DVD, in other words, about 10 minutes. I tried inputing both DVDs into Nero, but I got an error message when I tried to input the second DVD. Any ideas how I can do this? Sure, I can use 2 disks and burn these in 10 minutes, but I want to burn both of these movies on one disk.

There may be a way to hack the VOBs together with PGCedit, but that's beyond me.

I'd just:

1) Extract MPEGs or elementary streams: using PGCdemux or Rejig or VOB2MPEG.

2) Reauthor: I use GfD. It makes a menu by default, but you can make it autostart if you prefer.
(You can just select the VOBs in GfD, but I'm not sure how it will work if a movie extends over several VOBs. Anyway, extracting compliant M2V and audio is safer and pretty quick.)

This will not reencode, no quality loss.

Thanks for the clear info. I get what you mean. More involved than I thought, however, it is worth doing because I don't want to waste a disk. Even worse, is the weight and space that an extra disk takes up. I know somebody that cuts every other tine on an umbrella just to save weight.

Why try to make it so hard? All you need is DVDShrink in re-author mode. Simple and in a couple of minutes you are ready to write.

OR you could use TDA and add each as a separate track with menu and voila.....

Pgcedit > new project (location) > preference (pal / nstc) > import titles (copy) ... connect the dots using a few vm commands (about 4 required) > save project > preview playback > if all fine > burn with imgburn (get rid of the temp pgcedit folder beforehand)

For the OP's purposes (no menu necessary), I'm with NiteLite. DVDShrink in the reauthor mode (not shrinking or reencoding the video at all).

For the uninitiated, (and I include myself, despite using PGCedit many times) that's a showstopper.
