Hello all,
I have re-encoded a few DVDs using the DVD2DVDR for Dummies guide on this site. I've noticed that on my reencoded videos that there are white vertical lines in the picture. They are only noticeable on dark scenes... movies like Pitch Black and Lord of the Rings it is particuarly annoying. Has anyone else noticed this? Any suggestions on something I may be doing wrong?
I'm using DVD Decrypter to rip, DVD2AVI to frameserve, TMPGEnc, DVD Maestro to author... just like the guide states but with a few changes on settings in TMPGEnc (i.e. 2 pass VBR instead of automatic VBR) and in DVD2AVI I use the TV Scale under the video options.
Also, I'm playing back my DVDs on a Sony DVD player and Sony 32 inch Wega TV.
