    I recently got Premier 6.5 to do some video editing. Unfortunatly, when I make a project with transitions and then try to preview the project it plays fine until it gets to the transition then it crashes. It says that premier.exe has performed an illegal operation and will be closed. If I just build the project into an avi (without previewing it) it builds fine and the avi plays fine.

    Does anyone have any ideas why the preview window does not work when transitions are involved?

    Thanks. I found my answer. (Mainconcept DV codec seems to not work correctly with transitions.)
