  1. I have a MPEG1 system file that come from my digital camera. It is a 320x240 25fps with 32khz 16bit mono audio. Now it is possible to see and listen to it with quicktime and other programs, but I can't in any way extract the audio track. If I try to export the video to quicktime movie I get a no audio movie, if I import it in Final Cut I get only video and so on. I have also tried with ffmpeg, afropic and dvision to convert mpeg1 audio to wav, ac3 or anything else but it seems not to recognize my audio stream. What could be ??

    Thanks!

  2. hi,
try bbDemux. This program helps you to demux the MPEG1-Movie to audio and video-stream.
After that, you can convert the audio-stream with mac3dec or bd4go to AIFF and the video-stream with QT-Pro to DV-Stream. Copy and paste the AIFF in the DV-Stream and you can import the new file in FCP or Adobe Premiere or iMovie.

    c ya.

Another method for any stubborn audio conversion: use Audio Hijack, found at versiontracker.com. If you can hear it, this app can record it to AIFF, all digitally. Real time of course, but handy for situations with no other alternative.
