    I just bought a 500A, It seems to write OK, only used +RW so far. I'm using Nero "Latest edition .1" the problem is when it writes the Light on the DVD and harddrive comes on for 1 second and off for one second during the entire write process. Is this normal, I'm used to seeing the light come on and stay on during writing. It has also seemed to lock up at times using InCD, it just sits there and blinks. Thanks for your help.

    it comes on and off during writing for me too. and the dvd burned fine.
