  1. I download alot of DivX movies i want to watch on vcd's. I use TMPGenc to convert them to MPG. I use these settings: 352x240, 44,1khz, 29,97 frames and Mpeg-1 Video streaming. But when i try to burn them there is an error: "Invalid streaming" and i have to convert them again in Nero which takes forever! Could someone help me overcome this problem?

    Thanx alot!

Streaming video errors in Nero aren't that bad. You can either

carry on by turning off the compliancy and continueing (Nero will give you this option)

    or

Open the MPEG Tools in TMPGEnc. Choose Merge/Cut and add your mpg file. Choose from the pull down menu file type i.e. MPEG1 Video CD, and name a new output file. This will create a new stream which Nero seems to like better - odd but true!

As you said, Nero will give you the option after checking the file. Or you can uncheck after selecting your Video CD type "create standard compliant cd".

When I use TMPGenc with the VCD template, Nero likes it just fine. When I use TMPGenc MPEG tools to cut it so as to fit on two CD's, Nero says the file is no longer compliant. What could I be doing wrong? I tried the Simple Multiplexer and it gave me a buffer underrun error, stating that it might cause an error when run.

As Greg12 mentioned you should consider upgrading both Nero and TMPGEnc. Another thing is that various merge/cut files from TMPGEnc are not compatible with Nero. I use version 12 beta and version 12i - if one doesn't work, I use the other. Don't ask me why TMPGEnc/Nero has this thing... !!!
