  1. I have been using DVD-ROM (UDF/ISO) mode when I burn my ripped DVDs off to DVDr. Is this right? One has the option of selecting the following:

    DVD-ROM (ISO)
    DVD-Video
    DVD-ROM (UDF)
    DVD-ROM (UDF/ISO)

Someone teld me he burned off a DVD using the DVD-ROM (UDF/ISO) mode and it wouldn't play in his DVD player?! Is this true?

  2. Well I have heard of it being suggested to burn the UDF way a lot as well...

However I have burned ALL my rips from IFOEdit (movie only, no menus) with Nero using DVD VIDEO and they play on all my players and all the other ones I have tried them in..

So I stick with what works for me..

  6. quick question. One of the guides on this forum suggests you should use the DVD-ROM option in Nero. What is the difference between the DVD-ROM option which can be set to use UDF 1.02, and the UDF/ISO Mode? Any difference? I always burned in DVD_VIDEO mode as well, but with the newest release of NERO 5.5.10, that mode gives me errors in my standalone. I know many people had this problem when using NERO in DVD VIDEO mode and playing in their standalone, but I wasn't one of those people. DVD VIDEO worked flawlessly everytime, but with the newest version of Nero 5.5.10, I can no longer burn in DVD VIDEO mode and play on my standalone. That seems odd. Anyway, if someone could please just tell me what is the difference between that DVD ROM mode using UDF 1.02, and the UDF/ISO mode, I would appreciate it. Thanks

I can't figure out how to change from ISO to UDF/ISO mode for burning a DVD in Nero. I'm using Nero 5.5.10.0. I know it must be very simple but when I go to Edit ==> Properities ==> Info the only option I see is DVD-ROM (ISO). How do I get DVD-ROM (ISO/UDF) or so other format?

I have used the DVD-rom-video mode, DVD-rom(iso/UDF) mode and both never worked on my Toshiba player. So i tried the DVD-rom(UDF) mode and now all DVD_Rs work. I use the Pysical partition 1.02 and no multisession.

Don't use wizard. "Close Wizard" and then you have a lot of options. It is different method of burning. Ther under DVD you should find DVD-ROM (UDF/ISO)
