  1. When I start VCDEasy 1.09 I can't select my CD Burner
    (Plextor CD-R PX-W4012A)
On the main screen CD Writer is grayed out with the message
"CDRDAO disabled in the VCDEasy settings page..."
When I go to settings page CDRDAO is pointed to
C:\Program Files\VCDEasy\CDRDAO\ but is grayed out.
When I click on Enable CDRDAO Integration I get the following message:
Warning you may experience problems with CDRDAO if so upgrade your aspi drivers. You need to restart VCDEasy for changes to take effect.
    I restart as asked
I then get the following message:
No CD Writer/Reader found or ASPI drivers problem.
I have downloaded the latest ASPI drivers and it comes back telling me I have the most current.
Any ideas, what am I doing wrong?

    Thanks to all

    Zak

  2. FWIW, I am having the same problem with my Teac CDR/W 512EB. If I find a solution, I will post back here.

If in the bottom right corner of VCDEasy if it says ASPI seems valid: no, then try installing the ForceASPI drivers listed in the tools section. This usually makes the ASPI layer valid, then select generic-mmc or generic-mmc-raw as the driver, your CD Burner and check force execution.

  4. Yes.

    (1) Download and install the drivers with ForceASPI.
    (2) REBOOT!! The drivers don't "stick" until you reboot.
    (3) Load up VCDEasy again. All should be well (remember, any changes to the CDRDAO options page in VCDEasy won't work until you restart VCDEasy). CDRDAO will burn to essentially ALL modern IDE burners. The problem is usually with the ASPI drivers.

  6. I've never seen that error before...

Hmmm..... have you tried rebooting and seeing if you could use ForceASPI again?
