    im using convertxtodvd, load up some avis to burn some of them are recognized while the others are not, they are all avi file format, dont know why it reads some while rejects the others. the log just says xxxx.avi cant be converted, unknown file format. is there a way around this problem?

    AVI is just an envelope in which you place your audio and video file. That video can be DivX, Xvid, HuffyUV, h264, etc. ConvertX can convert many formats, but not all - like Lagarith encoded AVIs. Post a Gspot screen cap of the files which won't convert.

    Try repair / fix them using divfixpp. Or try other converters like dvd flick, favc.
