  2. There are a few different methods mentioned in this forum on how to get an ac3 atream off a divx (or xvid) and convert it to a wav. I was having trouble with this for a few days, as one of my ac3 files was corrupt, so headac3he and graphedit weren't working to well for me. Here's what I did.

I loaded the movie into vdub, selected direct stream in the audio feature, and saved the audio as a wav file, but named it "movie_sound.ac3.wav". Once that was complete, I renamed the .wav so I was left with an .ac3 file.

    "movie_sound.ac3.wav" > "movie_sound.ac3"

I then downloaded BeSweet (http://dspguru.doom9.net/), loaded the ac3 file, and converted to wav. It took a bit for the first disc (the corrupt one) but i ended up with a down sampled 44.1 wav file, encoded in tmpgenc last night and wound up with a perfect xvcd.

If I wasn't descriptive enough, left me know, and I'll make a short walk through.
