  1. Hey there! I`ve got some SVCD files, that i would like to make to VCD files. I have tried to put the SVCD files into TMPGEnc, but it keeps telling me that the format is incorrect or unsurported!
    Can anyone help me?

  2. For the most recent versions of Tmpgenc to read mpeg-2 files (SVCD's) you must have and mpeg-2 codec from either powerdvd or windvd installed. You can download and install the demo version. Un-installing leaves the code itself behind for Tmpgenc to use. If TmpGenc still cant open your SVCD files try increasing the priority of the directshow file reader under option->Environmental settings

    Hope this helps.

  3. Yes, you definitely need to install a mpeg2 player first.
If PowerDVD and WinDCD are too involved.
You can try elecard player, the link is the tool section.

  4. another way is ....open up the avesq01.mpg with dvd2avi and save as project

then go to tmpenc and load em seperately.... first vid ... will have .D2v extension

then audio sourc go to same directory but select all files and choose the file marked .mpa

    then carry on as usual
