  1. I know there is a lot of anti-Dazzle sentiment out there, but has anyone had any good experiences with it? I was looking to get the DVC-150, just barely fits into my budget.

Try to keep the anti-posts to a minimum unless well backed.

    Thanks

My Dazzle DVC2 card has been almost totally trouble-free, the only problems were bugs in their shitty MovieStar software. But you're talking about a USB capture device, and people often have problems with those (from any vendor). Some of them work, some of them don't, some of them work part of the time.

  5. DVC2 capture is great. SVCD CBR and MPEG2 videos are of good quality.

Before our DVC2 love-fest goes too far, I'll just reiterate that the DVC-150 is a totally different device.

Also, don't run out and buy a DVC2, I think there are better options available today. I bought mine some time ago, when it was one of the better home-user hardware MPEG-2 capture cards.

  7. I'm sorry, but Dazzle sucks.
I have owned the original USB one and the DVC2.
The DVC2 just has WAY too many problems to list.
I can't even use it, was $250 down the drain.

The USB DVC works, in fact I still use it
but the quality is awful. The VCD's are so blocky
I mean it's better than nothing but god the quality
    is awful.
