  1. How can I convert div-x format avi file to Vcd when format is unknown.
Many player opens and play the file but I can't find any converter which opens the file unknown format or audio is answer from my computer every time.I been tried every converter which vcdhelp mentions.
I believe that format can't be unknown because most of the player still play it. Or can I somehow add the right codec in. and what is right codec.

  4. In virtualdub click on file, file information. This should tell you which codec was used.

If VirtualDub opens it, then frameserve to TMPGEnc. I always use that method, as VirtualDub successfylly reads many more AVIs than TMPGEnc ever did, at least on my system.
Take a look at some of the guides (left) if you're unsure about how to frameserve from VDub to TMPGEnc.
