Buring CD-R with DVD Stuff

Ok, I just burned a CD-R with DVD "VOB" files that I created in ULead 6. They have a title maker and such, but where can I get DVD software to create the visual stuff? All I did was take 4 MP2's created in ULead 6 and told it to make DVD files to a local directory and then I burned the VIDEO_TS directory to a CD-R using Easy CD Creator 5. All I want is to create better menu files and intro's etc.

And also, I have the software to create AC3 files and Dolby Digital Wave files as well. How could I create more than one audio selection (choosing from English Stereo to English AC3) ? Am I asking a lot? What other free-ware software can I use for playing with DVD files on my harddisk? All I care about now, until I get a DVD-R, is to burn CD-R's with DVD data.

And how can I get CD-R's to play on DVD Players other than my computer DVD player? I imagin it is just a DVD player not being able to read the CD-R.

You are creating miniDVD, very few standalone DVD players are capable of playing this format.

Yeah, I've noticed that they do not play CD-R's...even VCD's. But does anyone know anything about the visual design of creating a DVD or Mini-DVD? Software to use?

I use ulead DVD workshop for authoring my DVD's, you can create moving video menu's with animated thumbnails, and use your own graphic creations as buttons.

Ok...I suppose there is no shareware software out there to create DVD's is there. But Ulead DVD...how much does that run?

you can get it really cheap through the University of Kansas book store i would think .. or at least most software..

Just a general question about Ulead DVD WorkShop...can you create multipule audio tracks (English Stereo or English AC3) or Closed Captioning?

There is shareware available to author DVD's, but you can't do fancy menu's with it. Unfortunately that costs money.

Check the tools section for a list of DVD authoring software, there are quite a few trial versions you can give a whirl.
