  1. I'm a newbie to dvd burnig,and yes you guessed i ain't got a clue.Basically i have a load of mpeg files that i'd like to burn to dvd+rw
    1.What program do i use to burn
    2.which format should i convert to if any

    i want to burn so that i can play on my stand alone dvd player.
    Any help would be greatfully recieved

    Since you are new, you should first read the Newbie Guides at left. They should answer your questions, for the most part.

    Go to the DVD players database at left to see if your DVD player can play home spun DVDs. If it does, you will need an encoder, if the files you have are not DVD compatible. I prefer TMPGEnc Plus to do mine.

    You load the MPEG files into TMPGEnc, encode them to DVD compatible MPEG files, then burn them with your favorite burn software, e.g. Nero, etc.
