  1. Im have narrowed my choices to 2 models for my office.
THe samsung txm2796hf 27inch HDTV monitor & the Sony vega kv-27fs100 (analog)

I am gonna be sitting around 4 feet from the screen (at my desk) most of the time, and sometimes 6 feet away (on a couch).

I dont have any near-future plans to hook the set up to a true HDTV signal.

But I will be using a progressive scan player.

My concern is that I have analog cable in my office, I have seen the line doubling feature(converting a 480i into a 480p) of the Samsung in the stores and its looks great, but will it make my analog cable look better?

I will do alot of cable viewing on this set.

I am impressed with the squeeze mode of the sony also, but more of my viewing will be just cable.

    Any thoughts? or Recomends?

  2. Update
I bought the samsung hdtv, added a 25 buck signal booster for my analog cable, and the reception rocks.
Good Lord I'm drooling over regular cable!!
And I havent even calibrated this set with my video essentials dvd yet..

Its just awesome, I cant believe the picture Im seeing is from cable, have yet to snag my new progressive scan dvd, but as Howard Jones sang, "Things can only get better"..

    Go HDTV, its the shit
