Is it possible to ripping to VCD from a dvd player? i don't have a dvd-rom. i have a cd-rw and a dvd player. is there anyway i can connect dvd player to my computer and somehow rip dvd to a vcd?

  2. Then you would a need a capture card and the source would
    now be analog.

So skip that idea and get DVD-ROM drive.

If you do not have any bays left, they make combo CDRW/DVD.

    $29 after rebate for a DVD-Rom
