I tried to add two MPEG files and burn to a VCD using EAST CD 5.I saved the files through Video Impressions. The MPEGs played fine in MS Media Player and in Video Impressions. When they were added to the CD (with NTSC) from Easy CD Creator they checked as meeting the White Book specification.

I put two videos on the CD. They both played fine until about 8 min. 10 sec. then they started slowing down on both the audio and video and would continue to slow down. When I skipped the first track the second started fine until 8:10 and it slowed down also.

I have tried this with different brands of CDR and with CDRW with the same results. Videos that are smaller run OK. I have a fairly new JVC DVD player (XVSA-75) that says it works with CDR, CDRW, and VCD. This is correct according to VCDHELP.COM.

Any help would be appreciated.
