I'm having trouble ripping DVDs onto my HD.

I tried using Smartripper, but it just stops ripping at 11% complete (just under 450mb).

I then tried DVD Decrypter and it stopped at the same point.

I think it might be a buffer problem of some sort, but I'm not sure what to do about it.

    I'm using a DRU-500A.

btw, I have plenty of room on my harddrive (that's the first thing I checked )

  2. Do you have another dvd drive to rip with? I usually use my dvd-rom to watch and rip dvd's then I use my dvd burner to burn after ripping and encoding.

Thanks for the feedback. I actually discovered the problem was with the DVDs I was trying to back up. By strange coincidence both of the DVDs I was trying to rip were scratched up apparently in about the same spot. I've tried with a couple of different DVDs that were not as visibly worn and have not had any trouble.

I guess I should have backed up Man With Two Brains and Groundhog Day earlier!
