sound problem using smart ripper and dvdx 1.8a

hi, i am trying to get star wars episode 2 on to acouple of svcds and am having sound problems.

The picture is fine, and i am encoding at 160k for the sound. However when i play the VCD it is like the sound goes silent for half a second and comes back on. Lip sync seems to be fine, its just these very annoying pauses during the movie.

I am a newbie to this dvd ripping, so please be gentle!

Try using DVDx 2.0. I had a similar problem with 1.8. Under the tutorials on DVD copy plus, it said to download 2.0 and this fixed my audio problem.
